Currently we have 2 overnights in MCI with around 7 mechanics, that might be counting the supervisor also. Frontier is rumored to be talking with building contractors for a hangar, not only for our own in house maintenance but also to do MRO work as well. No hiring in MCI at this time. And as of 11/12/05 our work force was reduced here in DEN by 15 technicians. No one understands why, it was a decision by the bean counters as always. God knows we have PLENTY of work on the overnights and C-checks that we do here in Denver.

All I can say is if your in MCI, get to know the techs there. They can keep you in tune as to what is up and coming to MCI. If we start service to Canada, I could see us flying out of MCI to Canada, you just NEVER know.

Thanks for the info. I am not in MCI and I did send in a resume to Frontier for future hiring at MCI.

I will get in touch with someone I know that works at MCI and see if they know any techs at frontier.

Not trying to cut in on your search for info but ...

SWA now has line maintenance folks in MCI. (Not updated yet on their careers page of the website but you can look here to get more info if you're interested in checking out the alternatives.)

Does F9 use the CO hangar in DEN?

Yes we lease the CO hangar here. But, we are growing so fast that we are also about to out grow that facility. That is why Frontier is in talks with Denver to get a new hangar built here.
