ALEXANDRIA, VA ? Alan Edgar Bristow passed away on April 26, 2009. Bristow, a former chief executive of British United Airways, was the founder of one of the world's largest helicopter companies, Bristow Helicopters, where he served as managing director and then chairman from 1954 to 1985.
