Fly Wn To See The Phils...or Not

In Citizens Bank Park, the new Phillies stadium, Southwest is running an ad on the scoreboard saying "Follow the Phils on the road by booking your airline reservations on southwest.com"

Well, that's just fine. Unless you want to go to ATL. Or NYC. Or YUL. Or CVG. Or MKE. Or PIT. Or DEN. Or BOS. Or MSP. And not just nonstop--Southwest can't get you to those cities at all. And that's generous, assuming that you'll be happy flying into FLL and OAK when you want to get to MIA and SFO.

The Phillies play 81 road games. Southwest can get you to 34. That's 42%.

US can get you to all 81. Nonstop.

Why am I pointing this out, and not US?

Remember what dave siad in one of his weekly messages a few weeks back, something along the lines of "we rely on other sources of advertisement to get our business" i.e. travel agencies. I guess they will really save us now in PHL!

WE are the hometown airline in PHL and this management needs to respond to WN's ad blitz in PHL and let people know it. How the hell are the people of PHL gonna know we are making all of these "changes for the better" i.e. new baggage improvements, rolling hub, matching WN's fares etc,etc.

When will these people pull heads out of thier asses and do the right thing????
