I've just received a copy of a letter allegedly sent by Sterling Global Holdings of Davie, Fla., to pay $9.75 a share for all shares of AMR, with plans to take the parent of American Airlines private.

The Shareholders will do anything at this point to raise the price of AMR's stock so they can get their bonus checks next month.
Then it will be business as usual. DOOM and GLOOM.

Better yer...it could be nothing more than a carefully planned rumor which they might be hoping the unions will give in to more concessions amid the threat of the company going private.

Or on the other hand, a Godsend if the mAAnagers wise up and see they have made AA a fat takeover target then settle our contracts. Last time it was Donald Trump who played that card. Nobody knows who these "potential investors" really are so you may be correct.
