Fire burns in San Bernardino National Forest (San Diego Union-Tribune)

BIG BEAR LAKE, 6:04 p.m. June 9 (AP): Firefighters battled a fire in the San Bernardino National Forest on Friday. The blaze grew to 300 acres but did not pose a threat to any communities, said U.S. Forest Service fire information officer Robin Prince. Helicopters and air tankers aided 150 firefighters.
