If you wanted to kick the tires on our new E190 when it was dedicated in CLT but didn’t have the chance it’s making a stop in PHX next week! Come by the US Airways hangar Jan. 16 for an open house. Mix and mingle begins at 11:00 a.m. with remarks from both US Airways and Embraer at 11:30 a.m. The E190 will be on display from 12:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. for tours. The 99-seat jet feature 11 seats in first class and 88 all leather seats in the main cabin.

This could be the coolest jet ever for <domestic> First Class. I love the single seat side.

I am sure the single seats will be the first seats booked. They remind me of the 767 years ago when the layout was 2 - 1 - 2. The Single Seats were always the first to go.

I like the look of the cabin and agree on the Single Seat.....a lot of people (business folks that want to work) don't want the drama and intrusive eyes of an unwanted neighbor peering over their shoulder. The 767 was very spacious with the 2-1-2 configuration until Marketing (those people who rarely think out of The Box) decided to cram the 2-2-2 look to mirror BA when we had the wetlease. I am glad the single seat RETURNS!

One way of cheapening the product for ya will be when you want your drink refilled and the "A" flight attendant is busting his/her rump to get the beverage done with the ONLY other f/a back there. While I think the a/c is nice and great for us (well not the pilots pay) this a/c will not be that easy to work on some flights. A flight attendant can't be in the same place at the same time. Well, sort of like the "A" on the 757 doing the first 5 rows of coach.

You know what's really sad??

I'm looking at that beautiful bird and all I can think is:
"WOW, What a great interior! I wonder what US will do to cheapen it or screw it up"

Sad, very sad indeed.

EXACTLY my thought too. Sad that I've come to expect only a degradation of things.

well some of us do the puzzles and read magazines as a way of life and don't like to work. I myself like to work and keep busy to pass the time. Some make comments but oh well. Don't hate me for keeping busy.

I didn't mean you specificly. Sorry if you took it that way.
Not at all. What I meant was I know what you mean. I don't have a problem with reading or doing puzzles due to the fact that there really isn't anything else to do. I do have a problem with those that do their required bev service and then can't be found until arrival. No walks through the cabin or god forbid get a call bell.

Is that was the refurbished 767 interiors look like too? I still have not seen a picture of what they look like.

Why can't you wait until there is a real problem to start complaining. I'm starting to think the folks who think it's impossible to make you happy are right.

Do you think the employees you claim to care about like to hear a customer bash their place of employment constantly? Do you think shame is a great motivator? Heck it's a NEW AIRPLANE for crying out loud, why can't you at least appreciate that and share and build enthusiasm? It might even come back in the form of better service someday.

Just ignore him...he never has anything good to say.

Just have a member of management fly the flight attendant jumpseat to help out with the services.
This has been suggest with the agents and I total disagree….

Thinking about the Size of the Aircraft and what is going to be required, I do not see the PHL-DFW being much of a problem service wise but I do think PHL-MHT or PVD may be a problem offering Full Service to a Full Aircraft. Years Ago the F-28's had decent service but we only had Four Seats up Front so after the F/C were taken care of the A F/A was able to assist in the Coach Cabin rather quickly. But, Midaway's F100's had 99 seats and only Two F/A's and they did a decent job with Two Classes of Service. I guess Time will Tell.
