White Plains, NY - The Westchester County District Attorney office has announced that Philippe Patricio, 21, of 34 Payne Road, Bethel, CT, plead guilty to Reckless Endangerment in the First Degree, a class D felony; Unauthorized Use of a Vehicle in the Third Degree, a class A misdemeanor; Resisting Arrest, a class A misdemeanor and Flying an Aircraft while intoxicated, an unclassified misdemeanor under the General Business Law.

On June 22, 2005, at approximately 4:10 a.m., Patricio operated, flew and landed a 1975 Cesna, 172M Hawk II single engine airplane at the Westchester County Airport in Harrison, New York, after he had taken the aircraft from Arrow Aviation’s flight school in Danbury, CT. Patricio, while intoxicated and with two 16-year-old passengers onboard, flew the plane, eventually landing at the Westchester County Airport when it began to run out of fuel. The Westchester County Airport was closed at the time.

After the defendant landed the plane at the Westchester County Airport at approximately 4:40 a.m. he was arrested by police officers with the Westchester County Department of Public Safety. Patricio attempted to prevent an arrest by kicking at and striking the officers.

Patricio is scheduled to be sentenced on March 8, 2006. The People were represented by Assistant District Attorney Robert J. Prisco with Judge Bellantoni presiding.

Blurb: I can only hope that they revoke his current license and keep him from getting a license for a long while. Idiots like this have no reason being close to an aircraft, let alone fly one.
