Wherever.
US Airways CEO Doug Parker has written an open letter to members of the new Congress, which appears today as a full-page ad in two prominent Washington newspapers. We feel it’s important to bring our message directly to the people who represent us on Capitol Hill – but we also want to share it with you.

“Dear Senators and Representatives,

“On behalf of everyone at US Airways, I’d like to congratulate you on the opening of the 110th Congress and wish you every success in the days ahead.

“By now you’ve heard a lot of contradictory claims about our proposal to merge with Delta Air Lines. Today I’d like to address you personally about the real benefits of our proposal for everyone involved…â€

We'll send you one of these updates anytime there's news to share. In the meantime, visit buildingabetterairline.com for the latest facts.

Setting the Record Straight

People all over the country are talking about our merger bid, and sometimes misconceptions crop up. US Airways recently reached out to the New York Sun and Charleston (W.Va.) Gazette to address concerns in those communities.

I hope they stop treating airlines like a public utility and give the merger a fair review. For some reason it was ok to allow oil companies to merge (they have far more impact on consumers than airlines) yet any talk of a merger in the airline industry creates havoc...ridiculous!

Well since you seem to want this merger so much you are either management or someone who stands to make some of the millions being thrown around.........

But the rest of us know the truth and many many more good dedicated employees will again be on the street.......

If this thing goes through you just better hope you won't be one of them......

your dispicable!!

despicable
Main Entry: de·spi·ca·ble
Pronunciation: di-'spi-k&-b&l, 'des-(")pi-
Function: adjective
Etymology: Late Latin despicabilis, from Latin despicari to despise
: deserving to be despised : so worthless or obnoxious as to rouse moral indignation <despicable behavior>
synonym CONTEMPTIBLE

For example, a CEO allows members of the same workgroup to be on two totally disparate payscales.

I hope Congress spits in Dougs face!
Yeah, they'll spit in the face of the only person to validate the ATSB and the one who gave them the greatest return on their investment. Sure.

I agree, good post and I am serious. It says it all In a nutshell, whether you agree or disagree with the merger.

More like a warlock...

As I have stated in the past, barbee is a man's last name. You may have confused "barbie", a plastic doll, with this man's last name and thought I was a female. I have incredibly large testicles, lots of hair on all parts of my body and I am a superb example of a human alpha-male. But you are kinda slow and don't pick up concepts too well.
