Dougie thinks it still going to go!

this guy wants delta period. and he wants them one way or another. i am to the point already that i could care less about delta. they clearly do not want us but then again it's not up to delta is it? this is all preety draining. employees bashing eachother over something we have no freaking control over. emotions ,pure emotions. emotions only give you one thing....stress. and stress is no good for no one . bad stess that is. everyone needs to sit back chill and let this thing ride out. both usairways and delta employees need to focus on each others carriers and continue to provide their customers the best service possible. we can't let this #### side track us and put us against eachother. we are all airline employees. we all do the same thing . i don't care what airline your paycheck reads. we all deal with the same a holes day in day out. we all deal with the same wonderful people day in day out. the same a-hole that flew delta last week and gave the f/a a hard time will probrably fly usairways next week and give the f/a a hard time as well . so everyone please stop bashing eachother. if there comes a time were delta and airways become one well then we will cross that bridge when it comes time to and iam sure we will have the best employees in the business. as for now just remember to say hello to eachother when we bump into one another on a layover. all we have is eachother. we are a different breed that many people want ot be a part of but can't. delta, usairways, american, continental, united, northwest, ect, ect. we are all the same just different uniforms. noe lets all get together and sing kumbaya lol. (sorry i had to say that )

I agree with what you're saying. However, some people (on both sides) can't seem to get past their emotions. This is an understandable reaction. Kinda like "I can talk trash about my family-but don't you dare even think about it!" For all the things our companies have put us through, many people are still loyal employees-and that says alot for these people. I've said before that I personally don't want to merge with anyone, but my feelings mean absolutely nothing to the creditors. If we do merge, I just hope all employees can work together for the "betterment" of our professions. We've all been sliding backwards for far too long.

Hate to be the Cassandra here, but don't count on it. The unions (and, by connection, the employees) lost their power to control their destinies the day that one union decided that another union's strike was none of their business and crossed that union's picket line. Now whether that was pilots at this airline or flight attendants at that airline or mechanics at a 3rd airline, the damage was done.

The real power of the union movement was that one union would never cross another union's picket line. That has been lost, and will not be regained. There are too many "union" employees who fail to see why they should lose a dime off their paychecks just because another union is objecting to being screwed over.

What really amazes me about all of this merger talk is that if Delta and U merge, this would be a damn good time for the pilots and possibly others groups to get back some if not all of what we lost, but noooooo we have to sling insults at each other like freshman at a food fight and keep the divisions between us intact so that the higher ups can control us. If the DL and U pilot unions were smart, they would hold secret meetings on how to approach the issues so we ALL GET PAID!
