Why should he do anything but kick his feet back after January??? He is done with being President at that point; would you rather him interfere with Obama's role as president? Knowing how much you despise Bush, I would think you would be glad to hear that his actions post-January will no longer effect the U.S.

Now to home equity being at its lowest since atleast 1945. Don't you think that has a little to do with people buying homes with 3% down or less, using no-documentation loans, taking out additional equity loans to pay off credit card debt so they can purchase a coach purse? Sure, home prices have fallen the past few months. Prior to that, home prices in areas were skyrocketing... building equity along the way. If these homeowners were smart enough to hold onto that equity, they would have weathered the falling home price storm. But many of them didn't. They either took out more home loans or sold their home to someone who put 3% down, and then they bought a much larger home with 3% down. If the market falls 4%, all of a sudden those fools no longer have equity.

It punishes those that live beyond their means, and it can reward the good stewards. Unfortunately, it sometimes hurts the average-Joe who has "done everything right," and that sucks.

Though I did vote for him (twice)... I don't really like the guy. But that is just AWESOME. It truly displays how he feels about what he is leaving behind..... like, let the democrats figure out how to deal with it. I'll be clearing brush on my ranch, collecting for the rest of my life.

When you think about it, doesn't this say exactly what so many of us want to hear? Or does it just anger you that he's rubbing it in your face?

If there is any "silver lining" out of all "this", is if you look back on the GOP,(since 2000) and look at the "best" that they have had to lead their party, It's easy to see, that(thank GOD) they are in Serious DECLINE !!!!

Maybe... but don't forget, that's what just about everyone was saying about the democrats only a few years ago... when the Republicans held both houses and the White House, and the dems couldn't come up with a half-way decent candidate to run for the big office. So, turn arounds are certainly possible, especially when you have a country that's still under a complete political divide.
