For those that fail to realize how much DL is doing to win business across its network, this announcement is small but still shows how DL is tangibly increasing the quality of its product.

Let's remember that it wasn't that long ago that one of DL's largest int'l competitors announced that it was moving in a completely opposite direction by charging for int'l economy alcohol that DL now provides free.

Add in DL's completely refurbished int'l cabins and DL's product is at the very least better than its largest US competitors and exceeds some of its major int'l competitors.

Given that DL and its largest competitors are moving in opposite directions with regard to product, it isn't a surprise that DL continues to widen its positive gap relative to the rest of the industry.

and to add to DL's product attributes, DL is also being recognized for being one of the most reliable airlines with respect to on-time, cancellations, and diversions.

On 72 days last year, Delta didn't cancel a single one of its 2,500 flights. "We're posting numbers that we've never seen in our industry,'' said Delta President Edward Bastian in an interview.

Delta Chief Executive Richard Anderson studies daily cancellation reports and overruled arguments inside the airline that there weren't enough cancellations to justify the cost.
