Did We Drop Florida-bahamas?

We still currently show PBI-MHH-TCB and MIA-ELH-GHB flights, but the TCB and GHB stops have been cancelled. I seem to recall these being cancelled for quite a while and I am not sure if it was because of the airports or something to do with Air Midwest operating the flights and not being able to land there for some reason. I know they had been bussing people from GHB-ELH and vv to catch the flights to/from MIA. The TCB thing is a new one on me. Sorry I dont have any better info.

Mesa's never met a route it couldn't screw up.

Meanwhile, Continental Connection is adding huge amounts of capacity in Florida and the Bahamas.

I recall seeing a notice that TCB and GHB service would be discontinued effective Jan 4th, but I know they have no flown the route in quite some time. Not sure of the reason.

Here's the deal.

Mesa pulled their Dash 8's from Florida to go to the new UAX in Denver and replaced them with Air Midwest 1900's. As TADJR wil tell you, Mesa had Gulfstream flying for them for a while while they got their airplanes properly equipped.

When I was at PBI in early November, I was told that the outer legs for both the PBI and MIA flights were to be resumed around Nov 15. I suspect that there is propably a lack of facilities at the 2nd stop of both the PBI and MIA flights to properly fuel the 1900. Plus, what do you do with all of the extra baggage that always gets left behind?

Well I'm pleased to say someone got a clue on this route and lowered the aus to only 17 per flight so while that may not solve all of the baggage problems, it sure will help them in the islands... now if we could only get them to figure this out on the rest of the Florida system.....
