Wait a minute. Are we not one union now? If we are not, then how did the AT DFW 10 get placed in DAL? Bid # 89-12 (I think) has AT mechs being placed in Dal. This cannot happend unless we are one union. If we are one union now, then maybe the post will come soon... Little birdie said it will be posted in one week.
NMB hasn't ruled one union yet as of last week. The reason they(DFW10) was able to bid and start work is because they were tied to LOA#7. And there for are able to start work as mechanics ASAP.
13 terminators with no line RON. Wow.
116 thru flights with 2 on day shift and one on eve's. They are gonna be quite busy!!!
Hope they plan on staffing a few more.
I noticed they where hiring for Mx controllers off the street not to long ago. Thought that had to go up for bid atleast three times. Or could that be another secret deal?
Not arguing with you swadl, but I heard that RON would be built up after year 2013, not during. I hope I am wrong. I hopes it's soon after the new 13 year begins. With the amount of flts we have I don't see how they can stretch it out any longer than next year. But then again Sokol told you 6 positions and they ended up only doing 5. You can never believe Sokol's word of mouth, it seems to change everytime. Please let us know when you find out swadl.
Denver is a busy busy station. There is Downline trips almost daily to Denver. The original 5 that are going are going to have a rude surprise when they get there with how busy it is. I think it will be like LAX when it opened non stop busy. Better grab a roll of MEL stickers at start of shift.
The 5 mechanics going to Denver are old enough that they already have 1 foot out the door. I'm sure their bid is more for the paid relocation before they retire. Being from Denver I can't wait to see what happens when the wind and snow starts. Some days it makes ord look like dal
I am pretty sure they will be just fine. I bet most of those guys going to denver are in there 40's. If they love overtime I am sure there will be plenty of it.Goodluck boys enjoy your peace before it explodes with amt
I know one of the guys going to Denver real well he is in his late 40s. He is also a commuter and resident of Denver area last 15+ years. He and the others will do just fine I'm sure! Besides it doesn't take much to call MX Control and put a sticker in the plane's log book.
