Delta Fined for Fare Advertising Violations

US DOT Office of Enforcement is out with a consent order and civil fine of $100,000 against Delta Air Lineshttp://www.airliners.net/aviation-forums/general_aviation/read.main/6121600/# for violations of consumer advertising requirements.

DOT investigation found that between November 2012 and February 2014, DL advertised several fare specials offering prices each-way without required special disclosure that fares required round-trip purchase.
Further DOT found the fine print disclaimer provided by Delta in the advertising was insufficient nor prominent and proximate the the advertised fares.

Yeah, but DL's fine is only half the fine levied against WN not too long ago.
