DUES REFUND DUE TO UAL MECHANICS

Remember a little yellow tri-fold flyer that has been distributed across all shop floors through the business, especially at NWA and UAL most recently? I found the one that was touted as AMFA creed or gospel or something. I put up a few quotes/excerpts from the flyer.

I didn't type in the whole thing but to assure everyone that it is fairly current the Executive council is as listed:

Nat. Director - OV Delle-Femine
Ass't Nat. Director - William Sturm
Nat. Sec - Chuck Marsicek
Nat. Tres. - Steve Kadziulis
Safety&Standards - Jerimiah Mahoney
Region I Dir. - Steve Carey
Region II Dir. - Jim Sietz
Region III Dir. - Kevin Wildermuth

(the above campaigned with this and put this out for all to belive in)

Objectives :

(There are six but I skipped down to the best one)

6. Establish steering committees to initiate and oversee UAL and NWA campaigns.

Dues (Doooozzzzzzzzzzzz)

The AMFA is financed by monthly dues paid by members. Dues are twice the average hourly wage of the Membership. There is a $25 per month dues "cap" on dues of members affected by a concessionary contract, including ESOP.

Now to all that read and or post here or any of the other sights, what are the
UALmechanics paying for dues? They are in a concessionary contract right???
What are the offering as an excuse by NOT reducing your dues down to the $25 "cap" as promised in writing by AMFA???

I can't wait to ask Dell this one at the debate tomorrow (oops I mean on the 17th) and me with this little yellow piece of paper as my proof for all to see. :cop:

Proof Please...
(Credible Proof would be appreciated but not expected)

I've heard this mantra before and have not found substance to this accusation.

If you have 'PROOF' post it or go away.

It is genuine. I will not lie or stand by while others lie either. I am working to get a scan of the document. As soon as I do I will post it . It is fairly current and it's a yellow tri-fold that AMFA produced and circulated. I am not lying it says $25 "cap" on dues during a concessionary contract. There are many, many others available I'm not the only one that has this. Ask anyone from NWA we had tons of them around MSP. This was a major AMFA selling feature during the NWA card drive / election in 1998. The tri-folds were distributed all over and given out at the August 11th, 1998 AMFA meeting in MSP. It was taped by the way and I do believe the question was posed to Delle from as a "setup" from the audience, he explains it in the video. No one could tell it better than Delle. Ask him.

However small it might be, this document will provide some relief for those on a concessionary contracts. It would help pay for the extra gas costs for your car or something.

The downside here is AMFA is going for AA, the largest of the majors, wow are they going to take a hit in dues or what? Those guys at AA probably pay about $65-$70 a month and the AMFA $25 "cap" during a concessionary contract (at AA for 5 more years or more) would be a dues reduction of about 1/2 - 1/3 of what they thought they were going to get. That's a tight budget. I want to ask Delle myself about this at the debate I will bring the AMFA produced literature with me. If you come to the debate I will also have copies of it to give you to take back to UAL property. AMFA owes UAL a refund and a dues decrease, and ....they should be telling AA mechanics that they will only have to pay $25 "cap" for the next 5-7 years during their concessionary contract.

Can't wait till later today, (oops the 17th) to ask Delle  when the refund checks go out to you guys at UAL and the reductions are implemented across the "concessionary contract system."

He can't throw out the flyer he put out as a lie unless he's willing to fess up.

I am trying to upload the scan but it won't let me so I'll give you copies at the debate.

 Let's get our dues down NOW!!!

:cop:  :cop:  :cop:
