Not only UAL And AA have had an unscheduled "Knee defender" Landing DAL has joined in. I know unscheduled landings are costly, the AA landing in BOS was a MIA-CDG that may cost more, not sure.
Anyway, who will be charged for these landings? AA has sent a Hi6 message that the device is not allowed on AA planes and if the pax doesn't cooperate, call the captain
.

As long as airlines continue to reduce seat width and pitch to sardine status, complaints will continue. If you need more space, purchase an upgrade.

Agreed, though I think at least 1 of these latest events occurred in Economy Comfort, ExPlus, etc...

Yes, Economy plus ect was on AA MIA-CDG. That area is behind BC row 11 to 13 and the rom is overwhelming, you don't have to get out of your seat to allow another to get out, there is plenty of room. The audacity for one to prohibit another to recline while they do is utter classless, one with no couth.

Still wondering who pays for the air interrupt, if be known the knee defender causing person's,  maybe they will change there tune.

seat pitch information is public and fairly widely available.

It wouldn't be too difficult to find out but I'm sure these people aren't flying for the first time.

There can be never be an excuse for disruptive behavior that causes the diversion of an airliner.

The best recourse is for the airlines to put any passengers who pull this stuff on their own no flow list and then do all possible to pass the information along to other carriers.

When a few people get on the media and start complaining about not being allowed to fly on any US airline, the light might go on that airlines won't be left holding the bill for anti-social behavior.
