December 31 Paycheck

Just wondering , did those who are paid every two weeks also get paid on Dec 31 instead of Jan 1?

This was our 53rd paycheck for the year, I dont recall getting paid early before, usually we would get 53 paychecks when we have 53 fridays in the year, like 2010.

We were also paid on Dec 24 (Thurs) instead of Friday. Is this because its a Holiday for most people?

The Dec 24th check was #26 for the year. Next check is this friday and is check #1. Look on the bright side, you got 53 weeks to get paid, we only get paid for 51 weeks here with the base shutdown. <_<
