DCA Facilities Changes

ARLINGTON (theHub.com) - US Airways, in conjunction with the Metropolitan Washington Airport Authority (MWAA) and the Transportation Security Administration (TSA), has announced the expansion of the security checkpoint at the North Pier of Washington Reagan National Airport.

With new US Airways service to several cities beginning in February, additional screening lanes and personnel are necessary. MWAA will expand the North Pier TSA checkpoint, which handles most US Airways departures, including all US Airways Shuttle departures, from four to six lanes.

To accommodate this expansion, effective tomorrow, Dec. 14, the US Airways Shuttle ticket counter will be relocated to the upper level, adjacent to the current US Airways ticket counter. Shuttle customers may also check-in for their flights at the Metro bridge on the departure level.

Kiosks may be used at both ticket counter locations, but those adjacent to the North Pier security checkpoint will be temporarily unavailable.

Shouldn't this be combined with the previous 2 or 3 threads started by the same poster about minor facility changes at DCA?

Well, in his defense, the CCY folks must be bored as they keep issuing the same bulletin.

GOOD NEWS....
