Could This Happen Here? Iam At Ual

If US goes into bankruptcy would that mean that the unions could possibly get someone with a real business plan behind the wheel?

They said "The employees of United Airlines can no longer subsidize the failures of management," That sounds familiar...

How easy is it to convince a Judge that current management has no clue? and does anybody think the unions have a case? Could this possibly be a deterrant or used in the barganing process to get management to actually negotiate cuts rather than force what they think the employees should be paid?

Could the unions say that if they try to force cuts through bankruptcy that the unions could fight for their removal?

If the company goes into a involuntary bankruptcy they will lose control of the company.

I would think that 2 rounds of concessions, and a second BK in two years would be a dead give away to the Judge. Clueless is an understatement of the Management of this Company. Why would the BOD put a guy at the helm with
NO AIRLINE EXPERIENCE at this point in the game???

because the bod has no clue how to run this airlines it certainly would be scary to see if us actually had a real bod with a real experience run this airline the right way

"United Airlines' machinists union has petitioned a bankruptcy judge overseeing the carrier's reorganisation to appoint an independent trustee to oversee the airline."

I would hope that the I.A.M., the A.F.A., and the C.W.A. would file such a petition on the first day of bankruptcy!

Same reasons they gave the two clowns who left millions and bonuses to everyone else and want to eviscerate the employees, because they can.

until now now that the IAM has stepped in and stood up to mgmt this time and a certain captain on this board is apparently unhappy that a union still has not boarded the flight to the concessionary stand

I think that USA3000Pilot needs to convince his own union first......management has focused their main effort at the pilots and they still do not have a TA.

If Mr Lakefield is no good, who would you like to step in?

Texas Pacific Group? Marvin Davis? Carl Icann?

Anyone that steps in will be going after the cost equation, along with attempting to transform the airline.
