I don't know the specific policy, yet I know of a former F/A that was a Capt. for Conquest? out of Mcallen, Tx. My understanding is that since they did not compete directly, it was O.K. I hope this helps as I don't have any more info.

I know that when my department hired people furloughed from UA, they required proof that they had sent in the paperwork to UA esentially saying, "I quit." and therefore inelegible for rehire.
