A lot of young pilots out there these days. They are qualified and I have observed the majority of them doing a very professional job. My experience through the years has shown that the management of these companies do not allow them the same safety net that the major airlines provide.

This article is followed by comments, so the whining, pontification and finger pointing are taken care of for you.

Anyone have any info or concerns about this article???

Regional carriers had four fatal crashes that killed 85 people over the past five years, according to federal data. Over the same period, one person died in a major airline crash.

Good Lord. With federal data like this Mary Schiavo should write another book and claim you are 400 time more likely to be killed on a regional aircraft than on a major airline aircraft.
