Coincidence? Or Not?

Could this be tied in with the dropping of Pit-Frankfurt service on Nov 1?

United Airlines will boost capacity between the US and Germany by 17% from Oct. 30 as a result of an extremely good summer season. UA will operate daily flights between Munich and Washington with 777s instead of 767-300s. Additionally, the airline's Frankfurt-San Francisco service will be operated with 747-400s rather than 777s and one of two daily Frankfurt-Washington flights will use a 747.

Jim,

Many routes seasonally change gauges. Typically the changes are 767/777 or 777/B747. This is nothing out of the ordinary at all. Been seeing this for years.

ua767fo,

True, but I would have figured that the gauge would go down for the winter, not up. But I certainly don't know what are normal seasonal adjustments for UAL.
