What CLT hotels do East commuters regularly use when they need to buy a hotel room? Any recommendations?

Ramada is $35 plus tax for the night, You do get a beer coupon if you like. If you tell them you are US Airways not PSA you get the room for $30. Good Van service. Not good drivers but the service is good. Internet
Fairfield is $32 plus they have a breakfast. Not a lot of rooms available and some of them have a lot of highway noise. I don't stay there just because of the noise. Van service is SO-SO.
Amerisuites is also around $30. Have a nice breakfast too. Plus the van service is good. Internet is weak
Extended stay $35. No breakfast, SO-SO van service but full kitchen if you want to bring your own food. Van services is OK. Pick up upstairs in the Valet Parking spot. Showtime instead of HBO. That is a good thing. Pay for internet. It might be free now but check if you need it.

Perhaps I am being paranoid, but in this time of terrorism and the continued threats that airplanes could be used in future attacks, I do not feel possible commutter crew hotels should be allowed to be posted. Regardless, this is also for the GENERAL safety of crews. Could you please edit out these hotel names and lock the thread.

Future postings should request a pm for such info.

Thanks.

Geez you ARE being paranoid. If a terroist wanted to find out which hotels we stay in all they would have to do is stand outside baggage claim and see which van we get into.

Besides what do you think they would do kidnap one of us? Steal our ID's? "Hey Tom you are looking really tan today! And WOW do you grow a mustache fast! What's with the accent? Eat a little too much Indian food last night?"

Come on, some of you people are WAY too worried about stuff like this. There is NO security threat from someone knowing that when I come in the night before a trip I stay at the Ramada because of the titty bar next door.

As far as I know there are more than one of each chain within a short distance of CLT. If specific addresses had been given, you might have a point.

Any specific address or other specific information will be removed.

Thank you.

I think if terrorist wants to know where the crew stays all they have to do is follow the crews to their hotels from the airport.

Well Skeezer, had you read the entire post, I stated GENERAL safety as well. There ARE nut cases who look for vulerabilities to rape unsuspecting f/a's that are usually woman..and you are assuming that the future of terrorism will only be men with "tanned" skin. BTW, are you a crew member? We as f/a's are told not to tell anyone what hotels we stay at but it's ok to let people on a public forum know where commuters stay..Hum. I'll stick to my paranoia over carelessness, thank you.

As stated earlier, if someone from your flight wants to follow you to the hotel all they need to to is watch what van you get into. Since they are typically still waiting for bags as you walk by this is quite easy. Having the hotel name, location, and phone number in huge colored letters kinda blows your cover Mrs. Bond. However if you think the people who were able to thwart all security measures in place on 9/11, or even a crazy stalker guy aren't smart enough to figure that out then keep the foil hat on. Being cautious is OK, being paranoid is not.

Am I a crew member? Well, according to my company I cannot confirm such a thing on an internet forum. :p
