A question for the WN employees who frequent this board...

Have any of you managed to keep, overthe years, the little Christmas ornaments Colleen sends out?

And if so, do any of you have an extra copy of the 1997 ornament?

If so please message me.

Thanks!

I would like to say thanks, but no thanks, to the WN employee who offered to sell me an extra 1997 ornament he had for the nominal charge of $200.

And as loyal as I have been to Southwest Airlines Co over the years, his Christmas spirit has me on the verge of, once I redeploy from Iraq, going out to Love Field and strolling thru the gate areas and encouraging Southwest travelers to find another airline.

After all, a 1998 ornament went for 12 bucks on e-bay. $200 seems a bit excessive. We'll just chalk up the absence of that ornament to greed and leave it at that.

Merry Christmas. Hah!

WOW! $200, Ey Carumba! Was shipping included?

Instead of greed, why not just chalk it up to the laws of supply and demand?

Uhhhhhh....because at $200 there is no demand?

Like I said, at that price, I'll either send my wife in to the G.O. to get one or we'll do without.

This is a gift for someone who contributed a lot to the company having made it during its infancy.

I'm not sure why I expected this to turn out differently. Maybe it's because I remember the way Southwest employees used to be.

Some of us newer hired are still that way. But sadly a few bad apples will spoil the lot I guess... If I had one, I would send it to you free of charge and send a care package too. Good luck over there and keep your head down.

BTW a special "Thanks" to a retired VP-Inflight Service (I think that was his title) for the '97 ornament. Better late than never, and certainly much better than shelling out $200. (He gave it to me for free)
