The fourth privately-run Chinese airline carrier, East Star Airlines recently launched its business operations in Wuhan formally. On 19th, May, the maiden flight of East Star reached Shenzhen; The next day, East Star started operating routes of Wuhan-Haikou & Guangzhou.
For this phenomenon, industrial analyst commented: "East Star has broken the limitation that only state-owned airways could operate the so-called 'mainline routes', which sets up a milestone in China's aviation field." And, as the first civil aviation airline company in the central China, East Star appears to be "exceptional" in many aspects.
