Chinese regulators will let airlines launch regional routes without seeking government approval in an effort to improve local air connections, the government said Thursday.
The government also will build new regional airports and subsidize some carriers, the official Xinhua News Agency said, citing an unnamed official of the General Administration of Civil Aviation.
