To read about aviation's first aircraft mechanic should read "Charles E. Taylor: The Wright Brothers Mechanician" by H.R. DuFour with Peter J. Unitt.

This book is a nice easy read with a lot of information as to how Charlie became involved in one of mankind's greatest inventions. If not for Charles E. Taylor the Wright brothers and the U.S. probably would not have been the first in powered, controlled flight.

deleted by mod.

With AMT Day approaching this book will give some important insight as to who and what Charles E. Taylor was. A professional, skilled mechanic.

Why are you posting this advertisement on every board?

You are wasting your credibility and demonstrating your single-minded focus on the aviation industry.

Please stop.

To order this book you can e-mail Charlie's great-grandson, Charles Taylor, at [email protected]. Charles will autograph the book and it costs only $30.00. If you are an AMT or just love aviation this book is a must for your personal library.

Thanks for the info Ken, I will have to buy the book. I guess the other poster has no pride in his/her profession.

Thanks for the info Ken, sounds like a intresting read. Thanks for fighting for our careers.

Ken, don't mind the company man bootlicker "dumberthenhell", post it everywhere you can.

If I don't like or am unintrested in the threads posted by someone, then don't read them. I see many I won't read. I don't control this BB, but I guess some people assume they do. <_<

I posted this thread on most BBs here because I do not think that most people from one airline forum read another airline forum.

How is my credibility being wasted? I post with my real name and do not post lies or twist the truth. I posted two threads, one about AMT Day and another about a book on Charles E. Taylor. How is this offensive?

Being an AMT these two threads are important to me and I feel they are important to my craft & class. I have a "single minded focus on the aviation industry"? Excuse me but I thought the name of this web site was USAVIVIATION.COM? This is a public forum and I want to try and reach/inform as many people as possible. I also posted these two threads on another BB. Does that offend you?

Look, if you don't like my posts then don't read them. No harm, no foul. Otherwise maybe you could learn more about Charles E. Taylor so that way when you come onto a AVIATION web site you won't be so simple minded. ;)

Ken, you must still have a lot of pride in the profession, more than I have seen demonstrated by anybody but the newest of newbies.

I almost envy the new guys that come in and still think it is the coolest thing in the world to work on and run/taxi airplanes. That died a long time ago for me though. Now it is just a way to feed my family. Oh well.

Folks, if a certain Airbus pilot posted the exact same thread on each board then he would be ostracized. Or how about I litter the board with identical threads about Frank Lorenzo!

Hackman -- pretty quick to go negative and start bashing eh?

You don't know what you don't know about me. Guess the same when it comes to 'pride and professionalism' -- I hope you are a better person than your post reveals.

I did not intend for this thread to go off topic. To answer your question, depending on the thread's topic I don't see any harm in posting on multiple airline forums. If it dealt with something I am not interested in I would not think twice about that person's motive. I would simple not read the thread. Now, if an individual repeatedly posted threads over & over then yes, the Moderator should step in. My post was not to make a profit or to slander anyone. It was not to "litter". It was to inform fellow AMTs about getting national recognition for our craft & profession. Period.

You are the one that went negative and hammered on Ken, questioning his credibility and his motives for his threads about Charles E. Taylor and AMT day. You were out of line. I therefore felt you deserved what you got.

If your going to be offended about someone fighting for his career while trying to inform others, I guess we will be seeing more sniveling from you very soon.

Don't step on someones toes and not expect a response in kind. ;)

I don't read a lot of pilot threads, like about not getting topping on their cheesecake, or ones about how management needs bonuses or they will leave. Like I said, if you don't like the thread subject, then don't read it.

Interesting that the mods seemed to have agreed with me and combined all these repetitive posts.

Also exposed is your sad pattern to immediatley go negative and start bashing.

Unhappy much?

Combined all repetitive posts? I guess its just AA is not. Again, you spouted off first in a demeaning manner. I'm the one to "go negative"?

Unhappy much?

Just with nonsensical B.S.

Is someone offering to sell the book on here or just advising people to read it? I didnt see an address or phone number to buy it or how much it was.

I see now where it had been edited, but did not know what had been edited that is why I asked. All of the moderators are not here every day and sometimes info lags. Thank you for pointing out the ad.
