Some people know of Channel 9 in the radio onboard United Airlines, with live ATC feed from the cockpit. I am not sure if other airlines have the Channel 9 Live ATC feed from the cockpit—and that is my question. Do any other airlines have this? And if so, how could I record a video looking out the window, while recording the live ATC on a camcorder? Mine has a headphone jack and I have an AUX (iPod to radio) chord for my parents' Honda Odyssey, and I was thinking if using the AUX chord, I could connect the camcorder to the headphone jack on the armrest.

I found out about Channel 9 after my flight just a week before, on jetBlue. I was also wondering if I could use it on my next Southwest flight, next month.

I would like my videos to sound like this one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9PUfLxIauTk

AFIAK, UAL is the only US carrier (and maybe in the world) with this feature. PI had on its 767s (albeit unadvertised) before the US merger, at captain's discretion. That was a long time ago.

Should you be using electronic devices like that below 10000?
