CHANGE NAME OR REISSUE TICKET

So I’ve booked three tickets through Expedia with the American Airlines and one of my friends decided not to go. I paid for her ticket and made it aware that there wasn’t any refunds. Now she doesn’t want to go and asked my cousin to take her spot but after research I’ve realized that I can’t even change the name of the ticket. Now my question is, is it possible for me to cancel the ticket and receive credit for it? Then use that credit to reissue that ticket with my cousins name ?

You need to talk with someone in ticketing at American and/or Expedia. I would start with Expedia. If they tell you there is no refund, they may mean "no refund through Expedia." Then go to American directly and explain the situation to them. Good Luck.
