This was posted on the APFA BB. Can anyone verify this?:

My friend who is an AMR stockholder told me he just received a proxy vote for the new Board of Directors for American Airlines. Donald Carty is nominated! Alert the media and tell everyone you know to vote NO.

you are too funny.....dont you think people can make up their own mind how to vote

I just found out that the proxy''s were mailed before Carty stepped down. There is no thruth to this.

He may be on the proxy, but he subsequently resigned his seat.

Unless Arpey is nominated at the annual meeting to occupy the vacated seat, that means there will be no inside directors on the Board, and that might be a good thing.

If AA had been hiding separate off-the-books entities and classifying expenses as revenue, then it would have been an Enron-like situation.

Having an Executive bonus program is nothing like what happened at Enron, nor is it illegal or uncommon.

I can understand someone being miffed that AA execs were due retention bonuses down the road when employees were being asked to give concessions, but comparing that situation to Enron is both silly and ignorant.
