With oil approaching $100.00 a barrel, WN and AS announced that they'd begin parking some 737-300s and MD-80s repectively. Beginning in December thru February.
My station PBI, is down to 10 flights temporarily from a peak of 12, then on December 24th we add a whopping 8 flights, for a total of 18 until January 6th, when we drop down to 14 flights. February schedule isn't yet finalized. FLL is adding 6 flights on 12/24 for a total of 27 daily flights.
Anybody want to work at PBI for a couple of weeks? WE certainly could use the extra help, we're going to get crushed with the holiday passenger loads and we're not adding any staff.
