Flights 151 PHL-SAN and 1417 PHL-LAX will be making technical stops in DFW and DEN for fuel tonight owing to a VERY strong jet stream blowing across the middle of the country at the flight levels.

Other airlines are stopping too. CO from EWR-SAN is stopping in LAS, Haven't checked any others but unless you are in a intercontinental type jet you'll be stopping for gas tonight.

But the redeyes will be smokin' Eastbound in the wee hours!

I'm shocked at this. Many of the posts on the board reports that only US has to make fuel stops due to Airbus aircraft. It's unbelievable another airline had to make a fuel stop. We need to start posting immediately how bad US mgmt is for the strong winds last night.
