Bankruptcy Update

Is it me, or is the "official" company position on the Ch11
filing a little bit too optimistic?

No amount of positive spin can erase the fact that US
is now controlled by a judge, albeit a "CCY friendly"
judge. Things could get ugly very quickly if any of
the major creditors decide to file an involuntary Ch7
petition.

I compare the current optimism coming from CCY to
the act of "polishing a turd". No amount of polish will
change the turd into anything other than a shiny turd.

The tell tale sign will be when it comes to union negotiations and how willingly each one goes to the table. If it starts to look a little cloudy then you can be sure the creditors will swoop in like a hungry buzzard for a few scraps.

i agree areoman, i would expect nothing public until there is good news to report on the labor front.

the company will give the union leaders a few days to let reality set in.

Pretty much everyone here thinks the management are idiots. Im not an exception to that. If the creditors agree will they care about the labor contracts at this point? If they can force an early liquidation and get all or most of their cash out should they risk not doing so?
