AWAC flight releases in DECS, why so L O N G

Could someone (whose OPS knowledge is less rusty than mine) explain why Air Wisconsin's JPS and JPD flight releases in DECS are so bloody L O N G? How many feet of telex paper and printer time and ink are really needed for a short hop?
PDT and PSA crews usually only ask for the JPS portion and even mainline releases are shorter than Air Whisky's. (A mainline int'l captain said that he flies across the pond with a shorter release than AWAC needs for a 50 minute flight.)

Is Wisconsin's paper industry behind this?

i was wondering the same thing but I als have been told by a few AWAC crews that they only need the JPS only. Also in my city we are suppose to sign the release. is it like that systme wide

Are you sure you don't mean PSA?

Yeah are you sure about that? In the past I have seen a PSA flight release in excess of 20 feet long. The bulk of the releases is t/o and landing data that we really don't need anymore due to ACARS perf/W&B. I thought they were going to only give us the abreviated performance on releases but maybe they forgot/don't care that we are killing trees for no reason on a daily basis.

BTW PSA pilots need both a JPD and a JPS. However, since the t/o data is redundant you can get away with giving just the release portion of the JPD.

Yeah PSA is long but so is AWAC I guess you can say they are pretty close together inlength
