Atlas V rocket lifts-off research satellite to test in-space solar propulsion technology

United Launch Alliance (ULA) Atlas V rocket has successfully lifted-off a Planetary Society's LightSail satellite onboard the US Air Force's X-37B space plane, to test in-space solar propulsion technology.
As the solar photons strike LightSail's Mylar sails, the momentum generated will accelerate a spacecraft continuously.
