I was sitting here thinking "Man, this job sucks! I sure wish I were at home this week for Thanksgiving" but then I got bored and started searching on the web for US Airways articles. Trust me, I was really bored. Check out the website below. They really are #1 at pissing everyone off. I will admit, at first I thought it was a joke, but then again, who could make this up?

Typical Tempe response.......deflect the blame. Still sticking to the story of how shares and the web site was tested? And we all know that we can take every thing Tempe says to the bank....

THE FACT REMAINS THAT LH IS THE LAST CARRIER AND THEY TAKE RESPONSABILITY FOR RECOVERY, DELIVERY AND ANY SUBSEQUENT COMPENSATION. THAT HOWEVER DOES NOT EXCUSE PHL'S SLOPPY BAGGAGE HANDLING THAT WAS DEPLORABLE LONG BEFORE DOU PARKER GOT HERE. BACK IN 1995 I TOOK THESE PROBLEMS TO OUR CSM AND RECEIVED THE FOLLOWING RESPONSES(S)

1) OH WELL, WE ALL KNOW HOW HOW PHILLY IS
2) THATS JUST THE WAY THINGS ARE
3) NOTHING WE CAN DO

You know, the last time I fly out of PHL I thought I saw a few baggage handlers dressed up like this. I think that they also attend Eagles games dressed similarly.

Look, the bottom line is that US messed up and could/should have interacted with those folks a little better ( though US is technically correct that the last carrier is where the ball stops bouncing ). Does this make US the worst? From my own experiences, TWA jacked us real good years ago with lies and sweet talk when our bags are lost flying CHP-JFK. Then they give me a phone number which doesn't work and never even look for the bags ( I suggested looking in the main internationals arrival hall and not the dedicated TWA arrivals terminal ). Turns out I was correct. Finnair finds my bags there ( their agent sees my Finnish name tags and decides to investigate even though we're not booked on AY ) and Finnair returns them some 3 weeks later. Every airline has baggage nightmares, though the US PHL situation is indeed unique.

I don't know about you all, but I detect a bit of "wierdness" in these folks as well. So now they make a life by throwing up a dedicated web site and plastering photos of their misplaced costumes for VCE on the web. I'm not dismissing their rightful agida over lost property, but "get a life" is something which pops into my mind ( as well as wondering if whips and handcuffs are part of their costumery). Not trying to disrespect these folks, but they posted the photos, and I'm reacting to what I see/perceive.
