Once again. The IAM nor the TWU will ever accept arbitration.

Stop with the scare tactics.

And even if it got to the 30 day cooling off period it’s several years away.

Look at WN Mechanics SEVEN years and no impasse asked for nor declared.

It took them over six years to even vote on an offer.
What ever happened in the FCFS grievance you guys filed way back when. Still in your contract isn't it?

Sounds encouraging

Tim you said the lus health care is gone well i assumed that all along but the updateds were digging their heels. How are your iam boys going to spin this into something positive. Basically what line of chit will they give us
Al, you don't expect them to come out and say their giving up on that to get enhancements in other areas. After all, this was a promise from day one that they would NOT relent on healthcare.

Of course not arbitration would mean vast outsourcing, Ready reserve.Scope would be gutted the company would love it.To be honest i dont understand why the company wants to outsource and right now they are on a hiring spree at least here and the people are not needed. They have how many more employees than the closest airline with about the same revenue

Again i assumed we would lose it cause 100k have it but update after update they were digging their heels saying no way.So LUS would lose medical and pension bet they keep pension as is with an hourly upgrade

Tim seriously, there isn't a chance in hell that either the TWU or IAM (aka Association) would ever agree to arbitration. Why you keep saying that is beyond me.

UPDATED: TOP TEN REASONS TIM CAN'T POST THE LAST OFFER

1) I'ts on top of the refrigerator, and he can't reach it...

2) It's with Trump's tax returns...

3) Pelosi blocked it's release in the House of Representatives over wall funding...

4) It ended up in a stripper's g-string in IAH...

5) He attempted to send it to Al for publishing, and it simply came back to his address...

6) It was inadvertently dropped into the laundry basket where it soon decomposed...

7) The bank teller dude put a dye pack in the bag with it -- it's now orange and illegible...

8) It was accidentally sent back to the 90's in a time machine, where it will be published in the next issue of "The Big Picture"...

9) It was confiscated by evil IAM union thugs that make way too much money...

10) The whole thing was a bluff, and he really never had it to begin with.

That's what Sito said as well right before he submitted. For us to have a discussion on this, a few things are in order. You do realize that if they don't submit to arbitration, that there will be no other alternative than to stay on ice. I mean, it can choose to stay on ice indefinitely but that won't increase any pressure on the company. It will just further delay a contract vote.

Only way the Association doesn't submit to arbitration would be if there was a ratification. Thus, I see a ratification as an extremely strong possibility. In fact, the floodgates have opened up. Management is hiring 250 more mx, and there is massive job openings for fleet now. That is usually a strong indicator that the company feels negotiations are going the right way and that a TA is close.

a 30 day cooling off is zero. Not happening. Kindly review Ira Gottlieb's letter to United members. And, btw, a PEB will never happen. Kindly review Sito's letter he authorized to DL19.

Regarding your statement, only 3 things are possible which would make it understandable.
1. You are being intellectually dishonest
2. You think that the NMB is going to treat the biggest airline in the world a lot different than much smaller airlines, and allow self help.
3. You think that Sito will flip like a pancake and just keep things on ice indefinitely.

Of these (assuming there isn't a ratification), I'm going to give you credit and say that you aren't being intellectually dishonest but rather this thing will be on ice (See Southwest) for as many years as it takes. If that is correct, then I have a few questions for you.

A. By staying on ice indefinitely, exactly how do you feel this increases pressure on the company when there is no self help relief? And aren't the risk associated with an indefinite situation a real possibility that the next offer can be worse if the economy fizzles?

Now, to be sure, a vote will happen regardless of anything we are discussing. And I'm almost certain it will be an immediate ratification, which I will support.

1. The IAM has NEVER accepted the proffer of arbitration in the airlines.

2. Arbitration, PEB, and Legislated Contracts are typical across all unions in the railroad industry.

The only person who is intellectually dishonest is you.

Maybe you didn't see this question I have posted twice because it followed a comment by you. So here it is one last time.
