I didn't read their contract. I could very well read what they got, but I don't know what they had.
Now having said that, just remember they did not have an Association sharing them and they were negotiating essentially for themselves.
And don't forget what they did to move the process to its conclusion.

Ain't never gonna happen here.

Here at AA, the main concern is shift swapping and resting up for the real daytime jobs.

We lose everyday and with another holiday where we lose an additional $1000 dollars is just getting annoying.

Weez... my understanding is the arbitrator has come up with a creative solution to resolving the impasse...
The JCBA will be decided upon the outcome of the "boxing match" between Tim/Al & CB.

If CB loses, we have to accept the "final offer", and agree to job losses, ending catering, not replacing air freight, and substandard medical...

If CB wins, we keep all of the above, and receive a two percentage points on raises. In addition, Tim/Al must get an association tattoo on the right upper arm, just below the short sleeve line...

How about CB tries to kick a football and if he doesn't the IAM takes the ball and goes home?

I don’t give a damn about your personal greed but I agree that WE need to ask to be officially released before THEY ask and get the jump on the Association once again.

The Association does need to stop being so hesitant and actually lead the charge on this front.

WeAAz, if we were ever to get released, we're looking at 6-7 years just by judging AMFA/SWA and UAL/CAL/ IBT. I will be long retired by then.
Now, I applaud you for being willing to stay out til the end. You might think just a little bit differently if you had a wife and kids to support.
And yes, unions cannot win anymore especially in an anti-union climate as far as government is concerned.

If we were released we move into the next phase in the process which again I have zero problems supporting.

And I’m sorry to say but shame on those people who after they got dramatic raises in 2016 weren’t able to squirrel away jack chit nothing for a rainy day (Or Strike/Lockout)
