The IAM Negotiated language for LUS Fleet is weaker than the TWU Fleet language in that particular area because it is not as mature as the TWU’s since the TWU has been at AA since 1947 and your group organized an almost full 50 years later on.
A lot of gray areas in IAM contract more than the old non union company policy guide

A Company policy guide is non binding in a Court of Law. And it’s particularly non binding in a Right to Work State where all Employees are at Will with little recourse if any Company chooses to terminate their service.

Your Company policy did not protect you from having your Pension frozen outside of any Court decision or any rule changes imposed on you at Management’s whim.

On almost all non binding Company decisions regarding work rules is written this phrase.

“The Company reserves the right”

Weez makes a joke... they bug-out... someone doesn't kiss Tim's ring they bug-out... someone supports the association... they bug-out...
It' must tough life being an anti-union troll...

Weez... my understanding is the arbitrator has come up with a creative solution to resolving the impasse...
The JCBA will be decided upon the outcome of the "boxing match" between Tim/Al & CB.

If CB loses, we have to accept the "final offer", and agree to job losses, ending catering, not replacing air freight, and substandard medical...

If CB wins, we keep all of the above, and receive a two percentage points on raises. In addition, Tim/Al must get an association tattoo on the right upper arm, just below the short sleeve line...

Please tell the Company that it’s a deal. We will accept that challenge and outcome.

Was the contract the IAM had with Alaska air binding how about when US got rid of folks in Buffalo

Hopefully the mediators will say they have seen and been part of this circus long enough and declare an impasse.
Release both sides and lets get the ball rolling.

I could care less than to rehash old stories already explained to you that have no bearing on our issues here at AA.
