Allied Pilots Association Supports the National Air Traffic Controllers Association

When push comes to shove, and the controllers walk out again, like in 1981, the pilot's will keep on flying just like they did in 1981. The pilot's always talk about safety but don't hesitate to scab when their mechanics or controllers walk out on strike. ALPA,APA kept flying during PATCO strike. ALPA kept flying at Lorenzo's Continental in 1982 when the mechanics walked out. ALPA,APA,and the AFL-CIO could have done something back in the early 1980's to stop the future destruction of the labor movement, but they didn't and now look where we are now. No pensions, wages and benefits going down and down, job security gone.

Actually, they won't need anyone else's help. There just won't be any controllers. The atrician rate for controllers the last couple of years has been staggering. I believe most are elgible for retirement after 25 years and all most all of them started 25 years ago.
