As a member of Frontier's FF program (although I've only flown them once, and that DEN-TUS flight was actually a Horizon codeshare), I received an e-mail today announcing the linkup of Frontier's program with AirTran's.
Hmmm...could this be the start of a 'merger dance'?

I would doubt a merger as it is not even a Code-share agreement. Just a way to expand both Carriers networks and do a trial on something new betweens two LCC's. Fleet types would not invite a merger and I doubt either CEO is keen on that idea. After today's announcement of the bid from LCC towards DAL, I think FL will play the "Wait & See" to see if....well, alot of things. FL could surely use more gates in ATL and who knows. I'm gonna sit back on this whole deal and watch. Enjoy the show, as they say.....
