Congrats to all WN Employees.

From ATW announcement...

Southwest Airlines is the Airline of the Year 2015.

Editor's cited the carrier's extraordinary and consistent standards of service, financial performance, safety among other things.

They also noted. "All of this while delivering a financial performance that is the envy of airlines worldwide and customer service that is renowned for its hospitality."

Congrats to all WN employees.

Now we will get a 100,000 word manifesto on how ATW is wrong.

For the year 2015, I have a new motto for WT, our moonthumbs poster and that will be "How nice" for each of his off topic, topic hogging posts.

There's an old joke that 2 lifelong girlfriends meet up and one of them has married a very rich man.  The newly married woman tells her friend that her husband has bought her a mink coat and the other woman states "how nice."  She also tells her friend that her husband has bought her a Mercedes Benz and her friend replies "how nice".  Her friend states that her new husband has bought her a new McMansion and her friend replies, "how nice"

The rich friend asks her girlfriend how she is doing and the poorer girlfriend states that she too was married and that her husband paid for her to go to Charm School as a wedding present.  The poorer girlfriend stated that instead of saying "F You" she now says "How Nice"

Thanx to you both.  All these awards lately and record profits and we can't get a contract.  Co is still dragging their feet.  The longer they want to drag, the more it will cost them in retro pay, so by all means, drag on...

first this continues to validate that WN is adapting well as I have stated they would.

second, your statement highlights that there are WN employees that remain separated from the reality that WN cannot continue to pay significant labor premiums to the industry when WN's network is increasingly overlapping with the legacy carriers.

third, what basis do you have that WN will pay retro pay?

"HOW NICE"

Congratulations, guys and gals of WN!  I've always loved your airline.  And, despite the fact that my airline has attempted to thwart your airline at every step of the way for the past 40 years, you all were so very incredibly nice to me when I was commuting to/from STL while living in Dallas.  WN is and always has been a class act.  And, they deliver exactly what they advertise...safe transportation from Point A to Point B for a reasonable fare.

I was just talking with some fellow employees at AA recently, and we all agreed that we had never met a truly unhappy WN employee.  (Well, except for an old crotchet like swamt.  ) Combine that with 17 straight years without a losing quarter (a record never duplicated in the airline business) and WN management must be doing something right.

But since legacies can't be profitable like WN, legacy employees should not get profit sharing

oh crud. Legacies DO make more than WN and their employees bag more profit sharing.

and WN is an incredibly well run airline

I knew a few guys from HOU. Stand up folks with great attitude and work ethic.

They worked hard and and have always been well paid and respected for that work.

They were a team. That is lost on some in these parts.

I too would like to congratulate all the employees of SWA for a very well job done.  Keep up the good work folks, we will get thru all this.  Glenn is correct, IGNORE the troll, he is only here to bring out every little negative point every time some one makes a positive one.  Jim, thx to you as well for the kind words...
