Air Canada Flight 001

Somebody please correct me if I am wrong -- but was this the second in-flight engine problem w/ the 777?

(the first being that BA 777 that landed short of the LHR runway due to engine shutdown)

What engine did Air Canada fit their 777 with?

Never mind...GE90's

"The GE90 engine model is among the world's most reliable, with more than 1,400 engines in service with almost 30 million flight hours, a GE spokesman said. No aviation accident has ever been attributed to the engine, he said."

Really?

What do you call this?
