I'm trying to locate a copy of the book A pictorial history of airline service at Dallas Love Field written by George Walker Cearley, Jr. in 1989. So far my internet searches have turned up blank with Amazon.com claiming its out of print.

Does anyone have a copy they'd be willing to sell for a reasonable price? (I'm pretty easy with the "reasonable" part!)

I found this via Froogle.

TomFolio.com

Looks like they're proud of them...

SWA bought all the DAL employees a copy back in the late 1980s/early 1990s concurrent with an anniversary of some sort; maybe someone at HDQ can help you find one if $110 is too steep...

Thanks, SilentWarrior and OPNLguy. I hadn't thought of "Froogling" (is that a verb?) and the SWA HQ opportunity sounds intriguing. (Maybe Colleen will leave her bookshelf unwatched for about 30 seconds so I can ... nah! :D )

The $110 is a little steep for me so I'll wait to see if there are any other availabilities. Still, thanks for the leads. You guys are great!

I have the publication that you're looking for.

If you PM me or email me at [email protected] your address I will be happy to send it to you.

The original price of the book published in 1989 was $22.00.

I think that $25 incl postage would be reasonable.

Thanks! You're currently in first place on my "hero" list! (Sorry, OPNLguy!)

I'm intensifying my research into Love Field's pre-DFW history and this book was one of my targets for examining photographic evidence.
