When i was much younger a very wise man told me never to invest in the company
that i worked for....why...because as an insider you can never see what is actually
occuring and you will make to many mistakes and may lose alot of money.
Obviously good advise.
This insider has come to the conclusion that i can not see things that may be
obvious to an outsider.
As we went through the bankruptcy process the company had every opportunity
to reduce costs as evidenced by the number of times concessions were demanded
and granted. I would have thought that as we exited that process we would have
been focused solely on improving the operation, touting the brand, and most
importantly creating an atmosphere where we could gain ridership....happy and
loyal new customers.
WHAT HAPPENED. It is evident that we have as much labor unrest, and in some
cases, much bigger problems than we had during bankruptcy. Indeed we could be
within a few weeks of either a strike or major court case as the airbus heavy
checks come due.
I can t believe that RSA s Mr. Bonner wants to become known as someone who
made a terrible investment and is ridden out of town on a rail by the teachers of
Alabama. I can t believe that our senior management wants to known as a group
that could navigate the court system but grounded the airline 6 months later.....
which frankly put means that they did a terrible job of bringing costs inline while
under court protection or never understood the business to begin with.
The severe turbulence should have ended when we exited bankruptcy. I can t
fathom why it continues unabated. There must be an agenda...hidden or
otherwise... that i just don t get.
