Such a mature and intelligent response, did it take you all day to think of that?

Alert the media!  Prepare for the end of the world!  Delldude and I agree on something.

It is a good article.  Especially, the f/a fatigue section.  Last June I had a 2-day stretch where I was on duty for a total of 30 hours--14.5 the first day and 15.5 the following day--due to a combination of mechanical and weather issues.  But, the holes in our "negotiated" contract (that you could drive a truck through) and the FAA allow it.

I think the FAA has formed another committee to "study" the issue of flight attendant fatigue.  I'm not sure, but I think this is the 3rd committee in my 12 years in aviation to study the issue.  I expect the same result as previously--nothing, nada, zilch.  Every time the issue is raised the airlines all insist that giving us rest minimums or duty aloft maximums (as is done for the pilots) would put them in bankruptcy.  Well, they've all been there now and decimated our contracts with no help from decent rest restrictions; so, what will be their excuse now?
