NextGen/CLT

01 March 2012 - 12:00 PM

This was originally reported by local news as a way to satisfy residents complaints about noise from arriving aircraft using 18R-36L. My question to any pilot is, is there a certain discomfort level during arrival (from up to 120nm out) with engines at idle? Also, do these new arrival procedures require addtional training?

Another PR nightmare?

26 December 2011 - 04:26 PM

Story A special needs passenger flying to ILM missd his conx in CLT....Is this the airline failing to do it's job or the family not using common sense by putting a SN person on an aircraft alone.....Airlines have incidents everyday, but to put a passenger that appears to need assistance on a plane during the holidays...I got to say the family failed in it's duties....

Family asked to exit CLT/ORD flt

20 December 2011 - 05:40 AM

A family traveling to ORD with 4 young children were asked to exit the flight....Is this a case of US excersing caution due to the age and number of children or the parents not using commen sense trying to travel with so many young ones?  ARTICLE

RJ vs Cart

23 September 2011 - 02:22 AM

Tug was driving in the designated travel lane eastbound abeam D6 when an RJ was pushed off the south side of E Con all the way across the ramp and onto the tug road. Heard from someone @ Mainline that Exp is notorius for using one wing walker leaving one side of the aircraft blind. I would never expect to see an RJ pushed that far from the gate....
