There is a nasty rumor out there that the AMFA leaders are playing us aircraft mechanics about Facilities Mx. There was no LOA to vote on because AMFA national knew it would just anger us and is waiting to negotiate them into our CBA come August. What is the validity of this rumor? Get the word out and lets find out the details. Wow, if this is true, I think big Louie is gonna have big problems. Remember we are the Union not national.

You may have a valid point. If I remember correctly, there was suppose to be 5 LOA's on the first ballot which was suppose to include the facilities maint. at the GO building. Now, that LOA is not included with the ballot, we are now down to 4 LOA's. Never understood why the facilities maint was removed from the ballot. Interesting though, to say the least.

I personally would like to see all the new work groups, recently acquired by AMFA, negotiate a separate contract that includes all of them together, like the cleaners have, instead of blending them into ours.

I agree. Glad to see them part of AMFA, but give them their own contract. Why do they think we finally got the cleaners out of our contract?
Let me ask you something. If we vote no, will they get their own contract? I will vote to keep them in AMFA but they need to nego and work out of their very own contract.

I just have to ask, why are you guys so against having different workgroups under your contract? Outside of the obvious reasons of AMFA being a mechanics only union... Don't get me wrong, I agree with you, every craft should have their own contract, but what's you guys reasoning behind it??
Take some pride in your work

You can take the man out of management, but you can't take management out of the man.

I've read somewhere that the NMB determines who falls within a specific craft or class.

Jim
Silver: No question the [9th] embraced the issue that there was harm to the West Pilots.
