AMFA filed for representation at Horizon today. The Horizon Mechanics were once AMFA before and then replaced them with the Teamsters. They figured out that the ibt sucks and decided to bring back AMFA. If only the United Mechanics and Related could figure it out.

Congrats to the Horizon mechanics! They are smart enough to take action once they have seen what the teamsters always promice but never produce. The United mechanics will eventually get on board as well, however, it is taking them longer for some reason. Would love to see the Fronteir mechanics to come on board as well. Thx gtd for the update...

An excellent point.

The teamsters sold themselves at Horizon and other carriers on their ability to stop outsourcing.

Congrats to the QX mechs for throwing them out.

Let's count:
They never SCABBED, unlike the iam and ibt
They are democratic, you vote every officer in and out
They have open negotiations, no secret back door deals with the company
They are a union made up of your peers, not some other person that has no interest in our profession.
They do not want to steal your pension for their gain, your loss...... etc.

Obviously they are the best out there for the A&P profession, the horizon mechanics are proof positive.

GO HORIZON!!!!!!!!
GO AMFA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
