I was just wondering if Continental does anything special for the mechanics during the holidays. We got a steak lunch, but we had to chip in for it. I am always curious how other airlines treat their employees, maybe have something to look forward to next year. United has a toy drive, and they take kids up in an airplane then after they land the plane they set it up so it looks like they are at the north pole which is pretty cool. http://www.sfexamine...ids-visit-santa

LOL
At US, for inflight, they posted a notice that read "Holiday Meal Schedules." I mean, maybe it's a good thing to be to the point at times, but I found the title almost offensive. Could've been titled a little bit nicer so that it doesn't seem like someone forced them to do it.
Maybe like "Happy Holidays, join our dinner event," or just plain old "Merry Christmas and happy holidays from Management" or something.
But then again...

At EWR if you go to the employee cafeteria with your ID, they will give you a free meal that they've made for the occasion. Although it's not really a good one and I suggest a you make sure you have a nice strong stomach for it

The pilots at Continental got two cookies wrapped in a "United" box. Man, I can't wait until next Christmas.
